It looks like the seventh Transformers movie has started production and we're already seeing some interesting updates on the upcoming action flick. Amazingly, the first photos that were taken from the set of Transformers: Rise of the Beasts actually confirm that Optimus Prime and Bumblebee will be back in action next year.
The images were taken from the set of Transformers: Rise of the Beasts. Not surprisingly, it's just pictures of vehicles but it pretty much confirms Optimus Prime and Bumblebee will sporting some vintage looks.
It's cool to see that Bumblebee has kept the look he adopted in the 2018 film. By the end of Bumblebee, the Autobot switched into the form of a 1977 Chevrolet Camaro. Since it has already been confirmed that Rise of the Beasts will take place a few years after the events in Bumblebee, this shouldn't be a huge surprise.
As for Optimus Prime, it looks like a classic look from the IDW comic books. The real inspiration behind the form is still up for debate but we love how it is true to the source.
It's no secret that Rise of the Beasts will still feature Optimus Prime and the other Autobots. However, as the title suggests, Transformers 7 will actually introduce the Maximals led by Optimus Primal, who will be voiced by original Hell Boy star Ron Perlman.
Transformers: The Rise of The Beasts will also star Anthony Ramos, Dominique Fishback, and Lauren Velez. The film is scheduled for release on June 24, 2022.
