Tom King Has DC and Warner Bros' Approval to Change Batman 'For a Generation'

Tom King has been writing DC's Batman for an astonishingly long time, with issue #71 expected to hit stores pretty soon. The writer has done a number of things in his run that fans have either enjoyed or hated but there's no doubt that King's Batman gets people talking and buying, which says a lot when it comes to mainstream comics.

King has confirmed that his run would be coming to an end soon, stating that his story would end in the 100's. However, this won't be a simple end that keeps Batman's status quo intact as the writer told The Hollywood Reporter that he talked with DC, Warner Bros, and AT&T, claiming that he is going to change Batman for an entire generation by the time he's done.

Considering how King almost got the character married and is currently making Bane his number one enemy, it's clear that major changes are going to be made. Apparently, it's going to be crazy, maybe even in the same vein as Bane breaking his back or Robin getting killed by Jason Todd.

Tom King's Batman is available in a number of comic stores and bookstores. Batman #71 will be out soon and those that want to keep up can get the graphic novel collections of his run.
