Uncharted is based on the best-selling game developed by Naughty Dog productions and was published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. The game follows Nathan Drake’s adventure as a fortune hunter together with his partner Victor Sullivan.

The film unknowingly began in 2008 but has been canceled due to directors are being pulled to different projects. Holland described the process of finding the right director as “stressful” and notes that some directors "had ideas that we didn't like, that just didn't fit the characters, and we had to move on to other people."

The film is now being produced by Sony and found the perfect director, Robert Fleischer. The film will feature Tom Holland as Nathan Drake and Mark Walhberg as Victor Sullivan to hunt fortune and face off with Antonio Bandera’s Montada, who is a ruthless treasure hunter and is also confirmed to be the antagonist of the film.

Given the action-adventure genre, the film has lots of stunts that Holland and Walhberg have a lot to pull to give justice to the film. When asked by The Hollywood Reporter, Holland explained that "One of the most difficult things about this character was playing 'the cool guy. Historically, I've always sort of played the outsider who doesn't particularly have many friends and isn't the cool kid. So Nathan Drake is the complete opposite, and that was something that took me a while to get used to and feel comfortable doing."

When asked about what he will tell his family about playing the part of Nathan Drake, the actor notes that being hit by a car 17 times was ‘pretty impressive’ and labels the overall experience as ‘fun.’ Holland reminiscent filming for Uncharted and describes it as very rewarding despite the pain it leaves.

"It's a pretty cool thing when someone says, 'How was your day today?' And I'm like, 'Hey, I got hit by a car 17 times,'" Holland said. "And people are like, 'Wait, what?' So for me, that was a very proud moment." Holland also called the stunt one of the best in the movie. "It's really, really cool and that would have to be one of the highlights [of filming Uncharted]," Holland added.

We are sure all of these stunts Holland hinted will definitely pay off as Sony’s Uncharted will hit theaters on February 18, 2022.
