Spider-Man actor Tom Holland is reportedly being eyed to star in the live-action movie adaptation of the Nickelodeon animated series Danny Phantom.
There have been rumors recently that Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon are developing a live-action version of the beloved Nickelodeon series from the 2000s that follows a teenage boy who became a half-ghost superhero.
It follows a recent trend for the past few years where popular animated series are being adapted into live-action projects including another Nickelodeon series Avatar: The Last Airbender.

Danny Phantom Live-Action Movie Reportedly Circling Tom Holland
According to insider Daniel Richtman, Paramount Pictures is circling Holland to play Danny Phantom in the live-action movie adaptation.
So far, neither Holland's team nor Paramount Pictures have commented on the report.
This is not the first time that the Spider-Man actor was associated with the popular Nickelodeon series in some capacity.
A few months ago, the show's creator Butch Hartman was asked by a fan whose actor he would like to see play Danny Phantom in a potential live-action adaptation.
He responded, "Tom Holland, all the way. It's got to be Tom Holland."
If Holland ends up being cast to play Danny Phantom, some fans might be happy with the casting since he is a talented actor and he still has a youthful appearance to convincingly play a teenage character just like Peter Parker.
It also helps that Holland is a recognizable actor for the worldwide audience and could carry the project with his own stardom similar to what happened with the Uncharted movie.
For now, let's wait and see whether this rumor ends up being true since there are also no official reports yet that a Danny Phantom live-action movie is in early development.
