Tom Holland Promises Fans Spider-Man Movies Will Only Get 'Bigger And Better'

Marvel fans might have had their hearts broken last week after hearing the news that Sony's Spider-Man deal with Disney had fallen through, but Marvel's Spider-Man star Tom Holland seems to be pretty optimistic about the future of the wall-crawler.

Speaking with fans at the Keystone Comic Con in Philadelphia (via ComicBook.com), Holland addressed the split between Sony and Disney, assuring his followers that even with Peter Parker out of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Spider-Man movies were "only going to get bigger and better."

"It's really exciting, the ideas we have for how we can expand the Spider-Man world and bring new characters into it, and crossover with other people, it's really exciting," the British actor told fans at the convention, "And it's only going to get bigger and better from here, which is great."

Of course, that doesn't mean that Holland's going to give up his place in the MCU just yet. During his panel at Keystone Comic-Con, the Spider-Man star also told fans that he wanted to stay in the MCU as long as it takes.

Interestingly enough, there have been rumors going around saying that Disney is willing to open up negotiations with Sony again. Word on the street says that the Mickey Mouse House is drawing up a contract for a seven-film Spider-Man deal with the studio, two of which are films that involve the new Avengers. However, fans have to be reminded that these are all just rumors – we won't really know anything until Marvel or Disney give their confirmation.

Spider-Man: Far From Home is expected to receive its digital release sometime this October.
