Pokemon Sword and Shield will be coming out this November, with many of us looking forward to the first mainline entries coming to Nintendo Switch. There are still a number of Pokemon and gameplay features that haven't been revealed yet, though the lack of a National Pokedex has turned off some fans. While we aren't sure what else can be announced, it looks like the latest Pokemon anime will have some news for us.
According to Serebii, the Pokemon Sun and Moon anime will have a "world exclusive announcement," though none of us know what it will be. While it's easy to assume that the news will be Sword and Shield related, there's also speculation that the announcement could be some other Pokemon mobile game or maybe even a new Pokemon anime.
The anime's latest episode is only a few days away, so we won't have to wait too long. It will be interesting to see what The Pokemon Company has in store for us, though we're all hoping that it's Sword and Shield news. Unless they're announcing remakes for Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, it's going to be very hard to surprise us fans.
Since a number of fans have turned on Game Freak after the lack of a National Pokedex, the developers are gonna have to work hard to gain their trust back. As a fan who will be picking up one of these games, I'm hoping this is another quality Pokemon game from them, though it will be hard to top Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon.
Pokemon Sword and Shield are scheduled for a November 15 release on the Nintendo Switch.
