The Witcher Star Henry Cavill Pitches Red Dead Redemption 2 Movie

There is little doubt that Henry Cavill is doing an excellent job as Geralt of Rivia in The Witcher Season 2. However, it looks like the Justice League star has his eye on another video game. Cavill has just pitched a possible adaptation of Red Dead Redemption 2.

We already know that Henry Cavill is an avid gamer who isn't shy to express his enthusiasm for Warhammer 40K and World of Warcraft. Interestingly, these aren't the only games that Cavill is enthusiastic about. The star of The Witcher recently admitted to Game Reactor that he had started playing Red Dead Redemption 2 and pointed out that he wants to see an adaptation of the Rockstar Games title.

Cavill was asked if there are any other video games that he would like to see being adapted into a live-action feature and he took the question very seriously.

"Well, that's a tricky one, 'cause you're tying both an IP and a company together, which is a tricky thing to do, so I certainly don't want to put myself in any corners with that, but there are plenty of games out there..." Cavill said. He then added that he started playing a certain title that he is truly interested in.

"I've actually started playing Red Dead Redemption 2 -- I know I'm a little bit late to that party -- but I started playing it and I'm really enjoying it. And so, something like that I think would be fun to turn into a movie," Cavill said.

It's no surprise that Henry Cavill loves playing Red Dead Redemption 2 but it is strange that he only started playing the game recently. For now, there are no official plans for an adaptation but with Cavill expressing his interest, we wouldn't be surprised if a live-action project is announced soon.

Cavill returns as Geralt of Rivia in The Witcher Season 2, which is now streaming on Netflix.
