The Witcher Season 3 is officially in production and that means Henry Cavill is now filming alongside his co-star Freya Allen and Anya Chalotra. To celebrate the production start, a new photo of Geralt of Rivia reunited with Princess Ciri and Yennefer of Vengenberg has been shared. In addition to that, the official synopsis has been revealed!
The new image of the main trio was shared by the official Witcher series Twitter account. It shows Cavill, Allen, and Chalotra having a fun conversation on the set of The Witcher Season 3 which appears to be a snow-covered forest. Check it out below.
It's great to know that The Witcher Season 3 has finally started production and it looks like the cast is having fun despite having to shoot in the cold. Needless to say, we can't wait to see them all in action again soon!
In addition to the awesome set photo, the official synopsis for The Witcher Season 3 has been revealed.
"As monarchs, mages, and beasts of the Continent compete to capture her, Geralt takes Ciri of Cintra into hiding, determined to protect his newly-reunited family against those who threaten to destroy it. Entrusted with Ciri's magical training, Yennefer leads them to the protected fortress of Aretuza, where she hopes to discover more about the girl's untapped powers; instead, they discover they've landed in a battlefield of political corruption, dark magic, and treachery. They must fight back, put everything on the line - or risk losing each other forever."
The Witcher Season 3 will bring back Henry Cavill as Geralt, Freya Allen as Ciri, Anya Chalotra as Yennefer, and Joey Batey as Jaskier. The third season has not yet been given an official release date but is expected to premiere on Netflix in 2023. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
