Before The Witcher Season 2 will premiere this December, fans will be able to explore the past of the fantasy world created by author Andrzej Sapkowski in the upcoming animated film, The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf, which is set to release later this month.
The animated film was developed by South Korean Sutdio Mir, the team who worked on Dota: Dragon's Blood, The Boondocks, Voltron: Legendary Defender, and Legend of Korra.
Over on Twitter, the Netflix Geeked account shared a clip that features Vesemir training a new generation of Witchers. The young students have to go through harsh regiments before they can become some of the best bounty hunters in the world and battle supernatural terrors.

The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf is set to premiere on Netflix on August 28, 2021. The Witcher Season 2 will be released on Dec. 17, and The Witcher: Blood Origin, a live-action prequel series, is expected to release on Netflix sometime in 2022 or 2023.
