Netflix recently released the first look video of Liam Hemsworth taking over the role of Geralt in The Witcher season 4, and fans are having mixed feelings.
In late 2022, it was announced that Henry Cavill had exited the series and was replaced by Hemsworth, who took over the leading role for the subsequent seasons.
The casting received polarizing reactions from fans as some of them were disappointed that Cavill is no longer continuing in the role and questioned whether Hemsworth is a good successor for Geralt.

Fans React to Liam Hemsworth as Geralt in The Witcher Season 4
Netflix recently released a video of The Witcher season 4 which gave fans an early glimpse at Hemsworth as Geralt.
While it didn't reveal any spoiler details about the upcoming season, it is still an intriguing preview since we finally have an idea of what Hemsworth looks like in the iconic role.
A lot of fans on social media have weighed in on the first look video and the responses so far have been divisive.
Some fans are still expressing their rejection of Hemsworth's casting as Geralt.
There are fans who have also defended Hemsworth's casting and are willing to give a chance to the actor when they watch the new season.
Given how beloved Cavill's portrayal of Geralt in the first three seasons was, the hesitation on seeing Hemsworth in the part in the upcoming season is understandable.
Perhaps some of them will change their minds once they see the first trailer or watch the entire fourth season and get more context on Hemsworth's portrayal of Geralt.
It is interesting to see whether the divisive reactions will remain as we see more footage of Hemsworth as Geralt in the coming months or if more fans will start to accept the recasting and learn to embrace the new portrayal.
