The Simpsons might be a far cry from what it was in the ‘90s but that doesn't mean it can't be good or funny, which it still has been for a number of years. Now that we're in its historic 30th season, fans have Treehouse of Horror XXX to look forward to, the series' 30th Halloween episode. Funnily enough, this is also episode 666, which is apparently something the crew has planned for a while now.
Fans can check out the poster below, which unsurprisingly pays homage to Stranger Things. The series is currently more popular than it's ever been thanks to a successful third season and fans can't wait for season 4, which might be the final one if rumors are to be believed. Also, the poster pays tribute to Guillermo del Toro's Oscar-winning Shape of Water, because of monsters.
It's kind of sad that the kids from Stranger Things don't know The Simpsons since they'll probably be adults by the time it airs. Still, they have bigger things to worry about, like monsters appearing from the Upside Down and crazy Russians who want to open it up again for a big advantage in the war.
What can we say? The ‘80s were wild.
Stranger Things can currently be streamed on Netflix, where all three seasons are available. The Simpsons will be streamable on Disney's upcoming Disney+ streaming service.
