The Mandalorian Star Unsure About MCU Reunion with Taika Waititi

There is little doubt that Clancy Brown is known for several iconic roles including the horned Devaronian Burg in the first season of The Mandalorian. For now, there is a possibility we'll see his character again in Season 2 but what are the chances that Brown will return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe? The Thor: Ragnarok star has just revealed that it's unlikely he'll be reunited with director Taika Waititi anytime soon.

In Thor: Ragnarok, Brown provided the voice of Surtur and although the character survived at the end of the film, the Warcraft star stated that he isn't sure if he'll be asked to play the villain again in Thor: Love and Thunder.

"That was a voiceover character pretty much," Brown told Comicbook.com. "So, I mean, I would happily do it again, because it would be a mo-cap, and that would be fun, and a voice, but they didn't sign me up for any multi-picture deal or anything like that."

But what if Waititi decides to bring back Surtur in the fourth Thor movie? Brown says he wouldn't mind playing the character again.

"If they call me up, and we can reach a deal, then I'll do it. If they call me up, and they don't want to pay me, then I won't," he said.

That doesn't sound very promising for now but Surtur did have some awesome moments with the God of Thunder so it would be interesting to see if we'll get more of that in Love and Thunder. In the meantime, Brown's latest project is Promising Young Woman, a black comedy that is scheduled for release on December 25.
