I want to apologize to everyone that I have alarmed and upset with my past behavior. I am committed to doing the necessary work to get back to a healthy, safe and productive stage in my life.

Ben Affleck as... Batman?

Director Andy Muschetti talked about the plot of The Flash after he was brought on to lead the project. He said that the movie would take elements from the Flashpoint comic book series along introduce the DC multiverse into the DC cinematic universe.

Flashpoint Storyline

The Flashpoint comic book storyline is about an alternate reality where other superheroes take center stage. In this alternate reality, Cyborg is the one saving the world, not Superman, and Thomas Wayne is Batman, not Bruce Wayne.

Fans of the Flash will know that Flashpoint happened because Barry traveled back in time to save his mother, Nora, from being murdered.

The teaser was released in 2021 and can be a vital source of clues we can use to predict some elements of the movie.

We see Barry entering a house and approaching a woman, who we assume to be his mother, in his childhood home. This could mean that he was able to save his mother from being murdered, but at what cost?

There also seem to be multiple people dressed in the Flash suit, so we may see Barry interacting with The Flash from an alternate reality he ends up in.

The teaser also showed us the silhouette of Batman, though we are not sure which Batman this is since we know that there will be two actors playing Batman in the movie.

The dilapidated mansion in the teaser could be Wayne Manor. The teaser ends with Barry excitedly pulling over the sheets over what looks like a car. Could this be Bat-Mobile?

The premise of Flashpoint has already been explored in various installments of The Flash, but this movie may hopefully be able to include the origin story of The Flash. Flash has only done cameos in other DC movies, so his cinematic introduction may be long overdue.

The Flash Trailer: Is There An Official Trailer for The Flash?

The official trailer for The Flash was released on February 13, 2023, a few months ahead of the official release of the film.

The teaser was released sometime in 2021.

The teaser shows the flashing traveling into an old, rundown house with a friend. We then see Barry pull a lever before cutting to the Flash, ending up on the street outside of a cozy house. We then see a montage of scenes showing the consequences that Barry faces after tampering with time and reality, Batman in his Batcave, and multiple people in Flash suits.

On April 26, DC released the second official trailer of the film, offering more insight into the action and universe-bending interaction we can expect from The Flash.
