A third season of adventures with Baby Yoda (or Grogu, but isn't Baby Yoda much cuter) - need we say more? Disney+ will soon bring us The Mandalorian Season 3!

The Mandalorian is the first live-action series to come out for the Star Wars franchise. It was created by Jon Favreau for Disney+. Happening after the fall of the Galactic Empire, the series follows the sole Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin, aboard the Razor Crest, who was hired by the Imperial forces to find the young Grogu but goes against orders to protect and deliver the Grogu home. Djarin is pursued by the Moff Gideon, who wants to use Baby Yoda, I mean Grogu, for his connection to the Force.

Potential Baby Yoda spoilers ahead

The second season of The Mandalorian ended with Grogu captured by Moff Gideon. Mando faces off with Gideon to have him release his son, but Mando comes prepared, backed up by all of the people he has helped before.

Mando succeeds in saving Grogu, with the help of a certain Jedi. Mark Hammil made a cameo as a young Luke Skywalker with the help of CGI de-aging and facial replacement technology. But just as we thought it couldn't pull on our heartstrings more, we see The Mandalorian himself say goodbye to the young Grogu he has been protecting.

*insert sobs here*

The last episode of The Mandalorian introduces us to another Star Wars spin-off, The Book of Boba Fett. As a new series has started, it seemed like The Mandalorian will no longer be renewed for another season, but the ending of The Book of Boba Fett showed us a reunited Grogu and Din Djarin flying away. This sets up the next season and effectively amplifies our need for more Baby Yoda content.

To help you get through the wait, here is everything we know about The Mandalorian Season 3.

During the May 26, 2022, Star Wars celebration, The Mandalorian producers Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni announced that the third season for the series will arrive in February 2023.

We know that principal photography was wrapped up on March 30, 2022. With filming ending in March, The Mandalorian Season 3 enters post-production, which gives the team enough time to polish out the series.

The Mandalorian Season 3 Delayed Release Date?

During the Star Wars series panel in the 2022 D23 event, the teaser ended with a projected release date for the third season, saying the show will start streaming by 2023. This could mean that the The Mandalorian season 3 may not stick to the February 2023 release date.

The Mandalorian Season 4

Cara Dune and Geef Karga

The Mandalorian Season 3 may see the return of the original cast from the first two seasons.

The Star Wars event confirmed that Pedro Pascal will return as The Mandalorian, Din Djarin, along with Katee Sackhoff as Bo-Katan Kryze. Other cast members who may return are Carl Weathers as Greef Karga, Giancarlo Esposito as Moff Gideon, and Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka.

Fans were afraid that Pedro Pascal would prioritize his other television series, The Last of Us, but thankfully it seems The Mandalorian took precedence. Rosario Dawson also has another project she may need to focus on, the Ahsoka spin-off, but she may have found a compromise to be able to return for The Mandalorian.

Another actor who will join the cast of The Mandalorian is Christopher Lloyd from Back in the Future, but his character has not been shared yet.

Grogu and Din Djarin

The Mandalorian Season 3 may take on a lot of adventures based on many storylines that previous seasons have presented.

The first possibility is for Mando and Bo-Katan to battle out their individual claims on the Darksaber. Now that Din has the Darksaber, either Mando or Bo-Katan has to defeat Din.

We may also see more Din and Baby Yoda adventures. At the end of the Book of Boba Fett, Din and Grogu reunite, but Grogu has a lot to decide regarding his future. In a sneak peek from one of the episodes from The Book of Boba Fett, we know that Din has to work his way back to the good graces of the Mandalorians after he removed his mask to save Baby Yoda.
Does he have to make up his mind about becoming a Jedi, maybe even with the help of Luke Skywalker?

Jon Favreau Teases The Mandalorian Redemtion

When The Mandalorian director Jon Favreau spoke with the Dagobah Dispatch Podcast, he talked about Din Djarin's need to redeem himself after removing his mask in season 2.

Well, we established in The Book of Boba Fett that there was an opportunity for The Mandalorian to be redeemed, because he had transgressed against the Creed by removing his helmet. And among his group of Mandalorians, that is something that’s not permitted. Now, we know that there are other groups of Mandalorians where they have different sets of rules. In the Clone Wars, we saw with Dave and also with the character that I voiced that the Mandalorians are very different there. And so these different groups are coming together and we’re going to figure out… the Nexus point for all of those communities, of course, is their homeworld from which they’re exiled, which is Mandalore.

The Mandalorian Season 2

Here is the trailer for The Mandalorian Season 2:

At the Star Wars Celebration held from May 26 to 29, 2022, an exclusive clip from the trailer of The Mandalorian Season 3 was released to a select audience. According to the trailer description from Games Radar:

The trailer starts with The Armorer saying how unhappy she is that Mando removed his helmet – and, worse still, he removed it by choice. Bo-Katan Kryze sits upon a throne and she says that she, too, is unimpressed by Mando. Pedro Pascal's Din Djarin then promises to head to Mandalore to be "forgiven for his transgressions." Greef Karga also makes an appearance, seemingly mayor of a town, and in a shootout.

The Mandalorian Season 3 Leaked Footage

During the Star Wars celebration, a trailer for The Mandalorian Season 3 was leaked. We got to confirm some predictions about the upcoming season.

In the leaked footage, saw the ruins of Mandalore, some Baby Friks, and Katy O'Brian's Comms Officer making a surreptitious glance behind her back.

There have been many theories about the comms officer even before and this may be a confirmation that she will play a bigger role in The Mandalorian Season 3. Is she a friend or is she a foe?
