Batwoman has to be the CW's most controversial DC show to date, which might have to do with all of the feminist speak from its trailer. While there's nothing wrong with a feminist approach, it did have a number of cringe-inducing lines that even women wouldn't appreciate. Still, the show could be a hit with fans and the character is actually pretty beloved in the comics, thanks to a number of great stories from Greg Rucka and J.H. Williams III.
Whatever you think about the show's "agenda," it seems like DC and the CW are sticking with it, especially if this new poster is anything to go by. Showing an image of actress Ruby Rose while a new version of the bat-signal is seen in the background. The official Twitter post claims that she is a "beacon of change," showing that they're sticking with this show's core themes, whether fanboys like it or not.
