The third season of The Boys was a huge success when it aired earlier this summer and fans have been looking forward to the fourth season after the events that were set up by the end of the season finale. For the past few weeks, the cast and crew have been teasing about the upcoming season prior to its filming and now it looks like it has officially started.
The Boys showrunner Eric Kripke announced on Twitter that filming for the fourth season has officially started. In addition, he also revealed the episode title for the fourth season premiere which will be "Department of Dirty Tricks." David Reed is also revealed as the writer of the episode while Phil Sgriccia is directing.

Antony Starr, who plays Homelander, also announced the start of the filming for the fourth season by posting a throwback photo of the Seven from the first season.
It is exciting to hear that the filming for the fourth season has started as it signifies that they are now working on the next installment of the series and it is likely that he will be able to see it by next year assuming that they will wrap by the end of the year or early next year.
It is also great that we have the episode title for its premiere although it doesn't necessarily give us a clue on what will happen except that it is a hint that the government is forming a new agency or it simply has a different meaning behind it.
Either way, this is tangible evidence that the fourth season is happening and we can sit back and relax while waiting for its airing which is at least going to be in a year from now.
