The Boys season 4 is coming out this June, and yet Amazon has already turned the green light on for a season 5 coming soon after!
Based on Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson's comic book series of the same name, the unabashed superhero show continues to mark its place on Nielsen's top 10 streaming rankings season after season, so the titular heroes would inevitably keep coming back.
Now, here's what we know so far on what to expect from The Boys season 5.

The Boys Season 5 Renewed Ahead of Season 4 Release
The Boys season 4 is premiering its first three episodes on Prime on June 13 and will end the epic season on Thursday, July 18.
However, this just in ā season 5 has already been confirmed prior to season 4's release, which means even more stories of the Supes to tell on the small screens.
"We couldn't be more proud of our producers, writers, cast, and crew who bring this genius insanity to life," Sony Pictures TV president Katherine Pope said, "Now, with a fifth chapter to their story, we can't wait to see where Eric Kripke and The Boys go next."
The Boys season 4 started filming in Toronto in August 2022, and eventually wrapped in April 2023, while the post-production of the series finished by April 2024.
The upcoming eight-episode season means the huge Homelander vs. Billy Butcher has yet to end its feud on the fourth season.
Keep in mind that the only reason The Boys season 4 had delays in their release was because of the SAG-AFTRA strike. The official trailer for it was only posted in December, once the actors' strike ended.

Potential Issues The Boys Season 5 May Face
As previously mentioned, The Boys season 4's only cause of delay involved the initial ongoing strike.
However, it's quite common for any series to also potentially lose their main cast members to scheduling conflicts over time, in case the main ensemble have projects outside The Boys elsewhere.
Considering The Boys season 4 took nearly two years of filming, it would be safe to assume that season 5 may take a longer time, especially if the showrunners want to appease fans with their promise of delivering a high-quality, up-to-standard season for the global audience.
Possible The Boys Season 5 Story
The Boys series has a root common foe who never stops getting his way: Homelander.
While Billy Butcher, Hughie, and the others also have the Vought company to consider, Homelander is usually at the center of it all.
With season 5 coming our way, this means we'll be meeting a bunch of new (likely, corrupted) Supes for The Boys to challenge and potentially, stronger ones than the previous season.
Since season 4 is teasing that there's a notorious virus threatening to eradicate all superheroes from their former glory, season 5 has the chance to either introduce immune Supes from the virus or an antidote that could raise Homelander and The Seven back to the top.
Let's not forget that The Boys is based on a comic book series, which has over 72 issues and stories to tell and translate on-screen.
Although the Prime series takes its own spin on it, the foundation is available in the comic book pages.
