John Ross Bowie is set to reprise his fan-favorite role of Barry Kripke in the upcoming The Big Bang Theory spinoff series.
Max and Warner Bros. Television have been developing a spinoff project from the iconic sitcom featuring some of the fan-favorite recurring characters and expanding the world of The Big Bang Theory.

Reports confirmed that Bowie has signed on to reprise the role of Barry Kripke in the untitled The Big Bang Theory spinoff for Max.
While the project is still in development and has not been given a green light, the actor signed a talent-holding deal with Warner Bros. Television with the purpose of starring in the proposed series.
So far, it is unknown how Barry Kripke will find his way into the story of the spinoff series, but his inclusion is exciting for many fans.
Bowie's character was a fan-favorite in the original series due to his scene-stealing moments which mostly involved teasing his colleagues such as Sheldon Cooper and his distinct speech pattern.
He was a recurring player throughout the show's entire run which started when he made his debut in the second season.
What to Expect in The Big Bang Theory Spinoff
So far, the plot details regarding Max's untitled The Big Bang Theory spinoff series are still being kept under wraps.
Aside from Bowie, Kevin Sussman (Stuart Bloom), Lauren Lapkus (Denise), and Brian Posehn (Bert Kibbler) are also attached to star in the project.
The Big Bang Theory creators Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady are working with veteran screenwriter Zak Penn on the development of the series. It is set to be in single-camera format.
For now, fans should wait for more news and updates regarding the spinoff in the coming months as we are inching closer to its potential greenlight very soon.
