The Bachelor Season 29 finally kicked off with Grant Ellis on the hunt for the love of his life—and it seems he may have already found the apple of his eye in Alexe Godin.
It’s clear that Godin made a strong impact in the season premiere, winning the coveted First Impression Rose.
So, who is Alexe Godin, and what makes her stand out in this season’s quest for love?
Who is Alexe Godin?
Out of the 25 stunning women in the Season 29 premiere, it was Godin who caught Ellis’ attention. This wasn’t a surprise at all, given her unique charm and engaging personality.
Take it from the 27-year-old pediatric speech therapist’s unforgettable entrance, arriving with a live llama named Linda, which she dubbed the “no-drama llama.”
“Canadians are known to be some of the friendliest people in the world,” she explained as Grant smiled. “So I thought, ‘Why not introduce you to my no-drama llama?’”
According to her official bio, Godin grew up on a farm in New Brunswick, a province in eastern Canada, which helped foster her love for animals. She’s also fluent in French.
But Godin isn’t just an ordinary farm girl. She graduated from the University of Ottawa in 2022 with a master’s degree in speech-language pathology.
Since then, she’s been working as a speech therapy assistant, helping children develop their communication skills.
Alexe Godin’s Instant Connection to Grant Ellis in The Bachelor Season 29
There’s no denying that Godin and Ellis formed an instant connection in The Bachelor Season 29.
She stood out to him the most, ultimately earning the all-important first impression rose.
“I really enjoyed our time tonight,” the 31-year-old Ellis said before giving Godin the coveted prize during the Monday episode. “Aside from being beautiful, I think that you're funny, you're smart, you're intelligent and I had a great time.”
Flattered, she thanked Ellis, and the two even kissed each other. They even had an impromptu French lesson.
“I am so happy,” she revealed in a confessional interview. “It's validating that he's seeing me for who I am and enjoying my little quirks.”
In a talk with the producers, Ellis confessed that Godin could show who she really was that attracted him.
“Everything that she is embodies what I look for in a woman,” he continued. “And I can't wait to get to know her.”
This was even evident when Ellis became comfortable being himself around, and their connection deepened as they shared laughs and engaged in light-hearted banter throughout the evening.
What Does the First Impression Rose Mean for Alexe Godin?
While the First Impression Rose doesn’t necessarily indicate who will make it to the final two or even the halfway point, it does guarantee that she’s safe from elimination and will have more time with the lead.
It also makes her eligible for the season’s first one-on-one date, and she could potentially receive a pre-rose ceremony rose in the second episode.
In other words, Godin may have just secured her spot through Week 3.
New episodes of The Bachelor Season 29 air every Monday at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
