According to the excerpt People provided, Affleck's "demons" with alcoholism and gambling may have led to their on-and-off dating for years, but one thing's for sure: they had the physical chemistry worth writing about.

Author Amy Odell recently revealed in Gwyneth: The Biography that Paltrow, now 52 years old, "spoke openly about how much she enjoyed their sex life."

So much so that Odell's book detailed how Paltrow's "ribald side" shared this to friend and celebrity make-up artist Kevyn Aucoin about a particular sex act with Affleck, now 52 as well, that seemingly delighted both parties at the time.

Page Six reported on Sunday, July 16, that the sex act being referred to is called "tea-bagging", but mentioned it as "He does love Dunkin'."

However, despite such a connection in the bedroom, Odell said it plain and simple in the book, "Their physical chemistry couldn't overcome his destructive impulses."

Speaking of destructive tendencies, that wasn't everything Paltrow had to go through in their three-year on-and-off romance.

Did Gwyneth Paltrow Break Up with Ben Affleck After Being Cheated On?

Apart from the alcoholism and gambling habit, he appeared to have trouble with keeping the relationship steady and mutual.

According to Paltrow's friends, as per the book excerpt, they had "reservations about him" as he "didn't always reciprocate her affection." At times, Affleck seemed "more interested in playing video games with the guys at his house than being with Gwyneth."

As it so happens, Paltrow's gals were looking out for her. As the excerpt continued, "Her friends felt like he did not appreciate her. She would be making dinner, and he would want to go out with the guys."

The destructive impulses mentioned "included cheating on her." Although the book and previous reports do not fully confirm that infidelity was on the table, it does seem implied. Even more so when Paltrow was quoted in their post-breakup, "I love men, even though they're lying, cheating scumbags." Odell's words alleged.
