Fans believe The Boys may have already found the antidote to the superhero-killing virus. One particular Supe has earned the spotlight and here's why this may be the Vought Supes' last hope.

Is There an Antidote to the Supe-Killing Virus from The Boys and Gen v?
The supe-killing virus has officially made its way into The Boys universe.
After being introduced in the spin-off series, Gen V, the deadly virus that targets superheroes is set to make Homelander and the other Vought supes think twice about crossing Billy Butcher. Or so The Boys hope.
Season 4 episode 5 brought the virus to the forefront, just in time for Victoria Neuman to show up and wreak some casual havoc. In the ensuing chaos, our protagonists were attacked by experimental V-ed up farm animals, engineered a virus bomb to sort out the issue and Billy Butcher made off with the only scientist, Sameer, who can recreate the now-extinct virus. Oh, and he's Neuman's ex and baby daddy.
However, fans are convinced that, even if (and it's a big IF) Sameer is successful, his concoction might not spell the end of all supes – because they think they've figured out a possible antidote to the supposedly incurable virus.
One fan's theory suggests Soldier Boy's power to strip any supe of their abilities could be the virus antidote – kind of.
Considering that Soldier Boy is technically immune to all diseases and poisons, this kind of makes sense. He could still prove to be the indestructible weapon The Boys first sought, back season 3 – just maybe not in the way they hoped.

Are the Fans Right? Is Soldier Boy the Supes' Last Hope?
While Soldier Boy's immunity would be a convenient plot twist to use just in the knick of time for The Boys' season 4 cliffhanger, a lot of this hinges on how Butcher and Shah plan on creating the virus.
Vought is a pharmaceutical company, so it makes sense that its former CEO, Stan Edgar, would have created a backup to pull the plug on supes if shareholders were no longer happy with the experiment.
Gen V had the chance to potentially transform the supe killer into an airborne virus, but chose not to. It follows that The Boys season 4 could try that out and turn the virus into a real supe-killing machine.
In that case, what would happen to Starlight and Kimiko? Will The Boys introduce an alternate antidote? Will fans' Soldier Boy theory pan out?
For now, we think Soldier Boy may be their best shot once they unleash the virus. Let us know what you think!
