The 2019 Stranger Things Chapter saw the Demogorgon, Steve Harrington, and Nancy Wheeler in the lead. Now, as the show’s world continues to expand and new threats were introduced, such as Vecna / Henry Creel / 001 / The First, a dark new chapter is about to begin.
What is Dead by Daylight x Stranger Things Chapter 2?
A crossover collaboration between the multiplayer horror game Dead by Daylight and the hit Netflix series Stranger Things, Dead by Daylight x Stranger Things Chapter 2 expands the crossover by introducing new characters and horror elements from the latest seasons of the show.
It introduces new playable characters, including Eleven as a Survivor and Vecna as the Killer.
Just like the formidable threat he is in the series, Vecna remains a danger to everyone, aiming to reshape humanity as he sees fit. He wields the same terrifying powers in the game, making him one of the most lore-heavy Killers in The Fog.
Thankfully, Eleven won’t be alone in this battle. She is joined by Dustin Henderson, another Survivor who plays a significant role in stopping Vecna’s evil schemes.
The duo reunites with returning Survivors Steve Harrington and Nancy Wheeler, alongside the Legendary Outfit of Jonathan Byers.
With the Hawkins heroes ready to stand in the way of evil, Vecna’s chances of spreading the horrors of the Upside Down throughout The Fog drop to zero.
Completing the lineup, Legendary Outfits for Robin Buckley and Eddie Munson are also available for purchase in the in-game store, complete with original voice lines.
Dead by Daylight x Stranger Things Chapter 2 will officially launch on January 27, but it’s now available on Steam via Public Test Build.
Will There Be Stranger Things Secret Episode or Episode 9?
Fans have been hoping for a secret Stranger Things Season 5 episode or an Episode 9 to be released on January 7, but the day came and went with no new episode arriving.
Based on the Conformity Gate theory, many believe the show isn’t truly over yet, as a large number of viewers found the ending unsatisfying and suspect that the finale depicts a false reality that will eventually be undone in a “true final episode.”
As anticipation grew, the speculation even led to Netflix briefly crashing for a minute. The streaming giant later addressed the claim by updating the show’s social media bios to read: “ALL EPISODES OF STRANGER THINGS ARE NOW PLAYING!”
However, with no new episode released on January 7, a new theory has emerged.
Some fans now believe that the upcoming Stranger Things documentary, One Last Adventure, could be like Wes Craven’s 1994 meta-supernatural slasher New Nightmare and may contain a secret finale.
Since the documentary, chronicling the work that went into the fifth and final season, won’t be released until January 12, fans will have to wait and see whether this turns out to be the ending they’ve been hoping for.
