The Office may be leaving Netflix, but Greg Daniels is teaming up with Steve Carell to bring us a new show called Space Force. The show is set to debut on Netflix later this month, and we have a new trailer for the series.
Just in case you didn't know, the whole show was conceived from President Trump's idea about making a military branch for space. Here we see Carrel's character tasked with running that program, and it looks just as silly as the idea sounds.
No doubt, the series has an all-star cast which includes the likes of Carrel, John Malkovich, Lisa Kudrow, Jimmy O. Yang, Ben Schwartz, and Jane Lynch. There's also a bunch of other faces from the trailer like Roy Wood Jr. and Patrick Warburton.
The Office is one of the most popular shows on Netflix, and it's surely a big blow to the streaming service to lose the title. Hopefully, this new show from Daniels and Carrel will act as some sort of balm for the fans who are going to be losing their ticket to Dunder Mifflin. If anything, Daniels has a great track record, and he also helped create another hit comedy, Parks and Recreation.
With theaters closed and movies being canceled, it's kind of great that Netflix is still managing to release new content around this time of lockdown.
Space Force is set to debut on Netflix on May 29.
