Star Wars Legend Mark Hamill on What Luke Would Be If Not a Jedi

Star Wars fans might all know Luke Skywalker to walk down the path of the Jedi after the original Star Wars trilogy, but what if the Star Wars hero tried something else instead?

Star Wars legend Mark Hamill has always been active on Twitter and lately the actor has been responding to fans' questions about the galaxy far, far away on social media. Seeing how a fan asked what kind of profession Luke might have taken had he not been a Jedi, the Star Wars actor gave a pretty appropriate response.

"I'd like to think he would have been a teacher," the Star Wars legend wrote in response on Twitter.

You can check out the exchange down here:

Hamill gave a pretty good answer, of course. We can all imagine Luke deciding to become a teacher had he not continued on to become a Jedi Master in the Star Wars sequel trilogy. Luke has always had the capacity to teach, and so it wouldn't be farfetched for the Star Wars hero to teach others.

Of course, one of the main reasons why the image of Luke Skywalker teaching others seems to fit the hero is because Luke has been teaching young Jedi even before the Star Wars sequel trilogy. The Jedi Master had disciples following him before he lost everything to Kylo Ren (Adam Driver). Teaching has always been one of Luke's calling.

What do you think? What profession would Luke have had if he weren't a Jedi? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section below.
