While it has taken Star Wars players years of anticipation since the Knights of the Old Republic remake was officially announced, a new report updates fans that it won't be long until the long-awaited game releases.
Star Wars: KOTOR Remake is Still Alive and Kicking, Developer Confirms
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake has been on the shelves longer than fans expected.
The last time the game had any announcement of the sort was made in August 2022, when the game shifted to a new developer: from Aspyr Media to Saber Interactive, after the confirmation of the remake on September 9, 2021, for PS5 and PC.
According to the Embracer Group, both groups' parent company, the shifting of developers was decidedly to "ensure the quality bar is where we need it to be for the title."
While no concrete update was specifically written in that update, they also noted in the same statement, "We are not expecting any material delays for the title based on this transition."
While that's been brewing behind the scenes, two years later, fans finally got their answer on whether we still have a game to look forward to, here's what their recent statement had to say.
"Right now, we are focused on the development," Saber Interactive Chief Creative Officer Tim Willits said, "We look forward to sharing more when the time is right. There you go, brother."
It is worth mentioning that Willits is seemingly positive on the likelihood of Knights of the Old Republic Remake's fruition after exploring the breakout hit success Space Marine 2 faced.
For now, we will have to wait until further information is officially disclosed to fans.
