Avengers: Endgame is coming out soon and fans are probably watching it with one or two people who aren't completely up to date with the MCU. That's a hard notion to believe since Marvel Studios has been a powerful company for a long time now but it's true, not everyone is up to date with the MCU. Star Wars' own John Boyega let it be known that his dad isn't up to date, even though he ran through all the movies with him six times.
We are all John Boyega when watching the film with our parents.
On Twitter, Boyega shared a fun conversation he had with his dad, telling him that they would watch Avengers: Endgame together. Boyega's father then asked if his son could break down the MCU before they watch and the Star Wars actor isn't having it. When a fan asked Boyega if he broke it down for his dad, the actor said no since it would be the 7th time he'd be doing it.
It's a funny situation that many of us can relate to since we've all been there; having to explain to our folks the tight continuity of the MCU. Granted, it's not the worst thing in the world and our parents have done more than enough to earn an explanation (assuming they are good parents of course) so this is just a minor inconvenience at best.
Avengers: Endgame comes out on April 26. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker comes out this December.
