It looks like there's another surprise character who will be making an appearance in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. A new report states that Watto from The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones will be showing up in the Respawn Entertainment game.
The possibility of the Toydarian slave owner popping up in Jedi: Fallen Order was brought up by Greg Miller at the recent EA Play live stream where the gameplay demo was unveiled. When the host asked whether Watto will be a part of the game, Respawn's Vince Zampella and Stig Asmussen chose to neither confirm nor deny the character's cameo. Needless to say, this has led to more speculations that Watto could be in the game.
But how exactly could Watto help in any way in Jedi: Fallen Order? It's a strange option for the EA game considering that there are other more capable characters who could aid (or fight) Cal Kestis. Perhaps it will be a different Toydarian that will make an appearance in the game.
Watto was first introduced in The Phantom Menace as the owner of a second-hand goods store in Mos Espa. He also happened to own Shmi Skywalker and her son Anakin who was working in the store. Although Qui-Gon Jinn managed to free Anakin Skywalker, he still returned to Tatooine (along with Padme Amidala) to try and free his mother. Unfortunately, Watto didn't own Shmi anymore in Attack of the Clones.
Although we're still unsure about Watto's cameo in Jedi: Fallen Order, the gameplay demo confirmed that Rogue One: A Star Wars Story character Saw Gerrera will play a huge role in the game.
Star Wars Jed: Fallen Order will be available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC on November 15.
