We already know that Obi-Wan Kenobi is getting his own Disney+ series but is it possible for another Jedi Master to get his own standalone project? Some Star Wars fans are currently campaigning for a show or film that would focus on young Qui-Gon Jinn and they already have someone in mind for the role.
A Reddit post suggested the possibility of Hamilton star Jonathan Groff playing a young Qui-Gon in a Star Wars movie or series. They also posted a photo of Groff along with an image of Liam Neeson as the Jedi Master. Check it out below.
Anyone else wanna get behind this? Jonathan Groff as young Jedi Knight, Qui-Gon Gin.

Not surprisingly, several other fans loved the idea of a young Qui-Gon project. After all, not much is known about Qui-Gon before his appearance in the Star Wars prequel trilogy. Needless to say, people are hoping to explore the character's origin story on how he became one of the most powerful Jedi.
Although Groff is known for his role in Hamilton, he already has ties with Disney. After all, he provided the voice of Krisoff in the two Frozen movies. On the other hand, some fans are not quite convinced that Groff will be able to pull off the role.
For now, it's important to point out that Disney and Lucasfilm have not yet confirmed whether there is a Qui-Gon project in the plans so it's best to take this with a grain of salt.
