Star Wars Fans Are Finally Going To Get Some Snoke Backstory

Star Wars fans might have been hoping to learn more about Supreme Leader Snoke in the sequel trilogy, but instead of giving a backstory, director Rian Johnson decided to subvert fan expectations by having Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) slice the shrivelled up villain into two in Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

Luckily, it seems like we're getting a bit of info on Snoke from Marvel's Star Wars miniseries, Age of Resistance. Today, readers got to get their first look at the remaining books in the anthology series, and it seems like everyone's going to get a bit of Snoke's origin.

The Age of Resistance announcement was recently made on the Star Warswebsite and according to Marvel, each book written by Tom Taylor and illustrated by Ramon Rosanas and Leonard Kirk will feature tiny snapshots of the heroes and villains of the sequel trilogy.

The remaining titles of The Age of Resistance include Supreme Leader Snoke, Rey, and Kylo Ren. This is exciting because Snoke is getting a book of his own, and the miniseries is definitely going to cover the Supreme Leader's story and origin. The book is expected to chart the early days of his corruption of Ben Solo and Kylo Ren's training as his apprentice.

Meanwhile, the Age of Resistance: Kylo Ren book will try to dig into Ben's family issues as it covers the character's fall to the Dark Side. It's going to be exciting to get inside the head of the estranged son of Han Solo and Leia.

Age of Resistance begins releasing this July.
