A fan theory for Ahsoka has suggested an easier solution for the first-season finale cliffhanger when the series returns in season 2.
To recap, the first season of the hit Star Wars series ended with Ahsoka Tano, Sabine Wren, and Huyang stuck in Peridea while Ezra Bridger and Grand Admiral Thrawn returned to the main galaxy.
Considering the massive implication of the cliffhanger, fans can't help but wonder how they will resolve Ahsoka and her friends' dilemma in season 2. As it turns out, there might be an easy solution for them to return home.
New Fan Theory Offers Simple Solution for Ahsoka and Friends to Go Home in Season 2
A new fan theory regarding Ahsoka season 2 has surfaced and it suggested a simple way for Ahsoka, Sabine, and Huyang to return back in their galaxy.
The Star Wars lore has established that Peridea is an extragalactic planet that has a powerful connection to the Force. The first season finale has also established that it is the home of the statues of the Mortis Gods.
In addition, the Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker visual dictionary book has also stated that it is possible to travel between vergences through the World Between Worlds (aka the Vergence Scatter).
Since Peridea is known to be the site of Force vergence, Ahsoka can just simply exit off the planet by going through the World Between Worlds again.
After all, we've already seen in the infamous episode 5 of the first season that Ahsoka is capable of going through the World Between Worlds (where she reunited with her old master Anakin Skywalker).
This could be the way for Ahsoka and her friends to exit off Peridea and return back to their home galaxy and reunite with Ezra, Hera Syndulla, and the others to challenge Thrawn's ascendency once again.
While we're still far ways off before we will get to see the second season, it is a compelling theory that explains a potential easy way to resolve the cliffhanger. It's hard to imagine them spending an entire eight-episode season focusing on Ahsoka trying to get off the planet.
For now, let's wait and see whether this will end up becoming the storyline that we will see when the series returns in the future or they will show a different solution instead.
