Star Wars: Episode IX's Mark Hamill Teases Antagonistic Role In Knightfall Season 2

We're used to seeing Mark Hamill play the good guy although he has also been quite memorable as a baddie. But will Hamill's Talus actually have a slightly antagonistic role in Knightfall Season 2? The Star Wars: Episode IX actor may have revealed that the character will be making things difficult for Landry du Lauzon this year.

The official Knightfall Twitter account recently shared a new featurette about Talus where Hamill refers to his character as "a drill sergeant." There are several footages in the video showing Talus mocking Landry. However, Hamill is quick to point out that Talus is not the bad guy here.

"I'm not the antagonist but I make it more difficult for Landry," he says. "There's a reason he's doing that. I think he really wants Landry to succeed by telling him that he can't."

Hamill's point is certainly proven by Talus' powerful line at the end of the featurette. "Leave us, Landry," Talus says. "Free of our rules, free of our vows, and never return."

It's certainly beginning to look like Talus is a tough leader who only wants what's best for the Knights Templar. Not surprisingly, people are seeing the similarities between Talus and Luke Skywalker in Star Wars: The Last Jedi. But will Talus be able to push Landry to be the best he can be? We'll find out when Knightfall Season 2 airs next week.

Knightfall Season 2 will premiere on the History Channel on March 25. Hamill will return as Luke Skywalker in Star Wars: Episode IX, which is scheduled for release on December 20.
