We're still waiting for the first trailer for Star Wars: Episode IX. However, a new leak suggests that we won't be seeing two major characters in the film's upcoming teaser.

There is a good reason why people are looking forward to the Episode IX trailer. Everyone wants to get glimpses at how the current trilogy will end and also see if the characters themselves have undergone any major changes. Although we'll probably be seeing Rey, Finn, and Kylo Ren in action, the latest leak points out that two Star Wars icons will not be a part of the trailer.

Although we're excited about the possibly lengthy teaser, it's rather unfortunate that Leia will not be in it. Luke's absence is understandable, but fans are really hoping to get a glimpse of the late Carrie Fisher before the film premieres. However, it sounds like Disney is saving Leia's scenes for the theatrical release.

The Skywalker twins might not be in the first trailer but we'll still see a familiar face. The leak also reveals that Lando Calrissian will have a key scene in the teaser.

"Billy Dee Williams as Lando Calrissian will be used as one of the money shots like Han Solo was used in the Force Awakens trailer," the source confirms.

Well, at least there's something to look forward to in the Episode IX teaser. We can't wait to see Lando's return next year. The trailer is believed to debut during the Super Bowl in February.

Star Wars: Episode IX will premiere on December 20, 2019.
