Major X, a new comic series from infamous creator Rob Liefeld, garnered some interest from fans since it's introducing some new characters from an alternate universe where mutants reigned supreme and lived in peace. Now that the first issue is out, it turns out that there is more to these new characters than meets the eye and one of them is related to a famous mutant family we all know and love (or tolerate).
Spoilers for Major X #1
When Marvel released a spoiler variant cover, fans were unimpressed since it revealed that Major X was just some new character that no one ever heard of. Calling this a "spoiler" variant is a bit of a lie but the character's identity is something worth talking about. You just have to read the issue to know that.
You see, it turns out that Major X is actually Alexander Nathaniel Summers. SUMMERS. Yup, he is a member of the Summers family. As if that wasn't enough, he is also the son of Cable, aka Nathaniel Summers, so that's where he got his second name. It's also worth noting that his first name is based on his uncle Alex Summers, who most fans know as Havok.
