Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse Producers Hint At Donald Glover’s Cameo

It looks like Sony's giving Donald Glover a little cameo in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse after the Atlanta star appeared as Aaron Davis, Miles Morales' uncle, in Marvel's Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse producers Phil Lord and Chris Miller opened up about an Easter that fans probably wouldn't want to miss in a recent interview with Fandango – one that involves Community's Donald Glover. Though Lord and Miller wouldn't directly confirm Glover's character in Into the Spider-Verse, they did hint at the Easter Egg when the news outlet asked them whether the actor was playing a background character at Mile's uncles'apartment.

"It sure looks like him," Lord told the publication.

"I don't know if we're legally allowed to say," Miller added.

According to Lord, he and Miller just really wanted to make a hat tip to all the fans in the community supporting their decision to feature Miles Morales, so they wanted to make a neat little nod to Aaron Davis' in Homecoming.

It's exciting to think that Glover has a little cameo in the film, though we're not quite sure whether the actor was really involved in the scene. After all, Lord and Miller could have simply placed in a character with the Homecoming star's likeness in a scene that wouldn't require Glover to voice-act. Or maybe they did bring Glover in to do some lines. Who knows.

Fans are going to see this little cameo for themselves once Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse makes its way to cinemas next, next week on December 14, 2018.
