Spider-Man: Far From Home To Include The First Trans Actors In The MCU

There's a lot to look forward to in Spider-Man: Far From Home. Not only is the film going to introduce Jake Gyllenhaal's Mysterio, but it's also going to push the campaign for diversity in Hollywood even further with two trans actors set to appear in the Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel.

Outside of the obvious topics of discussion after the release of the Far From Home trailer (eg. Tom Holland's new Spider suits, the Elementals, Mysterio), fans have been busy dissecting Holland's Instagram Story for his new film and spotted what might be a Muslim character in the Marvel star's second standalone film.

From there, fans soon discovered that Far From Home would feature at least two trans actors – the very first in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

According to a new report by Advocate, the trans actors are Zach Barach and Tyler Luke Cunningham. Cunningham is set to play an extra in the film. Barack is set to appear as a friend.

Meanwhile, fans have been zooming in on the Muslim girl in Holland's social media post.

"I have no idea who that girl from Tom Holland's IG story is playing in Spiderman Far From Home but if we're actually getting a Muslim character who's more than just an extra in the movie I'm gonna build Jon Watts a shrine," wrote the fan who spotted the potential Muslim actress on the post on Twitter.

We can't be certain who exactly this woman is, but seeing her together with Tony Revolori, the actor who plays Flash Thompson in Far From Home, has fans speculating that she'd be more than an extra in the film.

Spider-Man: Far From Home comes swinging into cinemas July 5, 2019.
