Remember the seemingly scrapped Venom teaser in No Way Home? Well, according to a new report, the franchise may be officially introducing more symbiotes in the upcoming Spider-Man 4!
Spider-Man 4 Will Seemingly Keep Its Promise of Symbiotes Joining the MCU
MCU fans were least expecting Sony's Eddie Brock and Venom to join Earth-616 at the post-credit scene of Spider-Man: No Way Home.
While the symbiote duo still got zipped back to their own universe, a small part of Venom gets left behind, seemingly teasing that a version of him will soon come up against Tom Holland's Spider-Man in no time.
That storyline has long been an on-and-off situation until a recent report claims that a part of Spider-Man 4's refined plot will include the appearance of multiple symbiotes.
According to the report from Cosmic Circus, Spider-Man 4 will not only add symbiotes into the picture but even watch Peter Parker sport the symbiote suit, which Marvel may "keep for the next couple of Spidey films."
That said, since the film is leaning more on a cosmic storyline, fans can also expect Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield to reprise their Spidey hero on the big screens.
Another thing that fans should keep in mind about a rumored hero debut is Black Cat. Previously, she was rumored to supposedly replace Zendaya's female lead role MJ for Peter Parker, but that news has been denied in the same report.
Considering that Peter Parker is still cleaning up the mess he made in the multiverse, Spider-Man 4 is the chance to redeem himself and build his character from scratch. At least in the eyes of Earth-616.
The symbiote's role could play the same tactic of tricking the hero into trusting his persona, inevitably leading to their final showdown.
For now, it likely puts fans at ease knowing that Peter Parker will be facing another common foe, which could indicate Sony's Spider-Man Universe joining the MCU's canon in the future.
