With this new overall deal with Netflix, Gillis and McKeever are expected to develop new projects for the streamer in the future, aside from Tires.

While the specifics of the projects that they're planning to work on are still under wraps, they are set to work on a film, another series, and an unscripted project. Gillis will also work on two new stand-up comedy specials, with one of them set to release later this year.

"Shane Gillis’ unapologetic comedy and knack for finding humor in everyday life is what sets him apart. With Tires, he and John McKeever have turned that same raw, unfiltered energy into a show that feels familiar to many people," Tracey Pakosta, Vice President of Comedy Series at Netflix, said in the announcement.

"We’re excited for our continued partnership, which means bringing more of their irreverent comedy to audiences around the world."

Gillis said, "Working with Netflix is great, and it’ll be cool to shoot season 3 of Tires soon."

"Netflix has been nothing but creatively supportive of us. We have a few projects we’re excited to make under the Dad Sick banner, and thankfully, it’s too late for them to back out," McKeever added.

When is Tires Season 3 Coming Out?

So far, no release date has been set for the third season of Tires. Production is currently underway in West Chester, Pennsylvania.

Gillis, Steve Gerben, Stavros Halkias, Kilah Fox, and Chris O’Connor are all returning in the upcoming season. Thomas Haden Church, who guest-starred in the second season as Shane's father, has been promoted to series regular.

The plot details for the third season are still under wraps. The series follows Will, the nervous and unqualified heir to an auto repair chain, as he attempts to turn his father’s business around despite constant torture from his cousin and now employee, Shane.
