  • Quick Answer: Sebastian Stan is officially cast in The Batman Part II, where he strongly teased playing the dual, disfigured roles of Harvey Dent and Two-Face.

DC Films has yet to confirm Sebastian Stan’s role in The Batman Part II, but there have been strong assumptions that he may be cast as Harvey Dent, aka Two-Face.

However, despite the popularity of that theory, newer speculation suggests he could actually be playing a completely different character in the film.

So, if not Two-Face, who could Stan portray in The Batman Part II?

Two-Face

There’s no denying that Two-Face is one of the major villains in the Batman universe, alongside characters like the Joker, the Penguin, and the Riddler.

However, a new theory suggests that Sebastian Stan may not actually be playing Harvey Dent in The Batman Part II, but instead Dr. Tommy Elliot, aka Hush.

While there are no concrete hints that the MCU star is truly set to play Hush, he previously mentioned in an interview that he could be playing “many roles” in the sequel.

This could simply refer to Harvey Dent and Two-Face, who are essentially two identities within one character. However, the wording “many” has led some fans to speculate that he might be hinting at something more complex than just a dual personality.

In that context, Hush becomes an interesting theory, especially since the character is closely tied to both Batman and Harvey Dent in the comics. According to some interpretations of Batman: Hush, his storyline overlaps with Gotham’s major figures, including Dent’s transformation into Two-Face.

There are also visual clues fans have pointed out, such as Stan appearing in public with a shaved head. While this could be unrelated, Hush is traditionally depicted with his head wrapped in bandages to conceal his identity, and he is known as a master of disguise–sometimes even using wigs or altered appearances.

That said, all of this remains speculation. Until DC Films confirms anything, fans should take these theories with a grain of salt, as nothing about Stan’s role in The Batman Part II has been officially revealed.

Hush

Hush is the alter ego of Dr. Thomas “Tommy” Elliot, a brilliant neurosurgeon who also happens to be Bruce Wayne’s childhood best friend.

Despite being born into extreme wealth, he deeply resented his family and even attempted to murder his parents to inherit their fortune.

Fortunately, Bruce’s father, Dr. Thomas Wayne, managed to save Tommy’s mother, which ended up ruining his plans and resulting in a lifelong grudge.

This made Tommy fiercely jealous of Bruce’s independence and wealth as they grew up. He eventually became a dark reflection of Bruce, seeking revenge on his former friend by wearing bandages to hide his face.

He also acts as a criminal mastermind and manipulates Batman’s rogues’ gallery into elaborate schemes.

So, if The Batman Part II ends up featuring both Two-Face and Hush, the sequel could become one of the most unique entries in the Batman canon.

The Batman Part II is set to hit theaters on October 1, 2027.
