Sebastian Stan Thought An Important Avengers: Endgame Scene Was Actually A Wedding

We already know that Marvel Studios is very secretive about its films. However, it looks like the studio took extreme measures to make sure that any details about Avengers: Endgame would not be leaked to the public. For instance, Sebastian Stan has just revealed that he was told he was filming a wedding in the Marvel Cinematic Universe flick.

Stan was recently a guest on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon where he spoke about how Marvel Studios kept the cast in the dark about the scenes they were shooting. At one point, the Captain America: Civil War actor was made to believe that he was attending someone's wedding on the set.

"Everything I filmed, I found out on the day. You could kind of tell by my expression, I hide the confusion well under a Zoolander look. We didn't know," Stan said. "I was told there was a wedding. A wedding that we were filming, and I was like, 'Who's getting married?' But everyone was dressed very formal and I was looking around and two people weren't there so I guess that was the bride and the groom. But that's what it was. It was a wedding. You saw the movie, right? It was a wedding."

This particular Endgame scene certainly involved several characters and turned out to be Tony Stark's funeral. Although we're glad that Marvel made sure nobody found out about the truth until the film premiered, we're much happier knowing that Stan didn't try to look joyful during the "wedding."

Avengers: Endgame is currently screening in theaters worldwide.
