Any MCU fan knows that one of the most well-deserving characters to claim their redemption arc and solo film is Wanda Maximoff aka the Scarlet Witch. Over the years, as fans grew fond of Wanda’s journey from being an orphan, to losing her twin brother, and eventually, even Vision, it’s only right that the MCU finally introduces her entire backstory. Well, lucky for Wanda fans, a Scarlet Witch Solo Movie is still in development at Marvel Studios!
According to reliable scooper @MyTimeToShineH on Twitter, a Scarlet Witch solo movie is rumored to STILL be in development at Marvel Studios, despite 2021 delays on the project. Check out the tweet below:

This isn’t the first time that a development report on the solo film has been circulating. In fact, it has been since 2021, where fans presumed that Wanda’s story would be included in Phase Four. Instead of the solo film, though, WandaVision was released in 2021, as well as Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness in which Wanda finds a way in returning to her twin boys in another universe.
While a WandaVision spinoff, Agatha: Coven of Chaos, is currently in development to be a part of Marvel Phase Five, Elizabeth Olsen’s cameo appearance remains questionable as new sources are saying that Wanda will not be involved.
It is important to note, though, that nothing has been set to stone yet, so take this with a grain of salt, as we wait for further official announcements from Marvel Studios.
Marvel Phase Five opens with Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania where Scott Lang, Cassie Lang, Hope van Dyne and her parents will be facing off with Kang the Conqueror variant in the Quantum Realm.
For now, Agatha: Coven of Chaos is expected to be released in Winter 2023 with nine episodes. For more updates on this story, you can check out more details here.
