The Marvel Cinematic Universe had gone through Phase Four without the new big bad after Thanos but when Phase Five comes with Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, it will be the arrival of the next main villain of the franchise with Kang the Conqueror, who is he?

Beware, Kang is not someone you could trust.

Seen in the trailers of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is a thriving community in the Microverse inside the Quantum Realm and there, a looming threat to the whole multiverse resides: Kang the Conqueror, played by Jonathan Majors.

See, this isn't the first time Jonathan Majors appeared in the MCU, he made an early debut in Loki but not as Kang the Conqueror but as his variant, He Who Remains, and he controlled the "Sacred Timeline" for so long that he created the Time Variance Authority to prevent variants like Kang.

Well, Sylvie got a huge grudge against him so she killed him, anyway, but that led to thousands of alternate realities branching out where Kang the Conqueror comes in. That is, at least, the most He Who Remains could do but surely, the Quantum Realm is the perfect place to hide for Kang.

There, time and space run differently and he could have perfectly hid there for centuries. As to how he got there, well, it's yet to be revealed but given that Avengers: The Kang Dynasty is lined-up, that puts Kang the Conqueror as the next Thanos of the MCU, even deadlier, in fact.

In the comics, Kang is one of the villains who traveled through time. Known as Nathaniel Reeds, he is a scholar from the 31st century, and a descendant of Reed Richards' father, which makes perfect sense to introduce the Fantastic Four, too, in the franchise.

Nathaniel got so obsessed with history and through Doctor Doom, who is also making his way to the MCU, note that, Nathaniel was able to go to anytime he wanted, even becoming a Pharaoh where he met En Sabah Nur/ Apocalypse.

Nathaniel reinvented himself and got a new name, Kang the Conqueror, and made his temporal kingdom by conquering galaxies through time. While he doesn't have superhuman powers, his brain is his biggest weapon.

With the arrival of Kang the Conqueror in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, it is most likely that Kang will finally unveil himself to all in the said film, however, while it will introduce him and his dynasty, he may not be the real villain of the movie.

Maybe, probably, but there's a possibility that he isn't the main villain of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. See, MODOK has been confirmed to be in the movie, another next-level genius who has super-intellect as his power.

A game of wits, indeed, Scott could possibly bite the bait with a deal with Kang to get him back the time he lost but the cost would be unleashing Kang to the multiverse, opening doors for him to conquer more realities than one could ever imagine, just as he did in the comics.
