Samuel L. Jackson recently confirmed he will be making his return as Nick Fury in Avengers: Secret Wars.
The fan-favorite character was last seen in 2023's The Marvels and the maligned Disney+ series Secret Invasion. Since then, he has not made any more appearances, and fans have been wondering whether he will have a comeback in any of the upcoming Avengers movies that will culminate the Multiverse Saga.
What to Expect in Samuel L. Jackson's Return in Avengers: Secret Wars
In a recent interview with The Direct, Samuel L. Jackson was asked whether he will be making more appearances as Nick Fury in a future Marvel project.
Fortunately, he confirmed that he will be part of the cast of Avengers: Secret Wars: "Next movie... [The] movie after this one."
However, while Marvel has already told him he will be returning in Secret Wars, he has no idea about what his character will do in the story and what kind of screen time he will have.
"I have no idea. [Marvel] hasn't told me anything, other than, 'You're not gonna be in this movie. You'll be in the next,'" Jackson teased.
While the details are vague, this is exciting news for fans who have been looking forward to seeing more of Nick Fury in the MCU, since we have confirmation that he will be seen again next year.
It's also not surprising that Nick Fury will have an appearance in Secret Wars, given that the film is expected to be a massive crossover event of the entire MCU from past to present, and it would be a missed opportunity if a key character like him did not appear.
