Ryan Reynolds Feared Hugh Jackman Could 'Decapitate' Him During Filming
The scene in question pertains to Deadpool and Wolverine having a little face-off in the middle of nowhere in The Void.
As Deadpool confronted the clawed crusader, Wolverine not only grits his teeth and flexes his claws out, but he actually runs on all four legs, making screaming fans cheer as the comic book-accurate scenario plays out on the big screens.
As supportive as Ryan Reynolds was with his co-star Hugh Jackman's new bodybuild for his comeback, he admitted feeling shaken up while filming.
Reynolds revealed that filming the threequel included "changing things quite quickly" to try new things out, but their fight scene in The Void convinced him "there is no way this guy's pulling his punch."
"[Hugh Jackman] would do stuff where I was convinced — when you were coming at me a few times — there is no way this guy's pulling his punch," the Free Guy star hilariously added, "I will be decapitated by Hugh Jackman, and that will be his f***ing cross to bear, not mine."
Reynolds quipped right after, "When Hugh Jackman is coming at you at 150 Australian miles per hour, you feel like there's no way you're not going to be dead in four seconds."
What somehow softened the blow was when Reynolds 'thankfully' had his mask on as he watched it unfold, "And I will never forget that. And thank God I'm in a mask because under the mask, my face is going, 'Oh God!'"
Frankly, the Merc with the Mouth actor wasn't the only one who was stunned to see The Greatest Showman star in a different light, even fans found the scene jaw-dropping at the four-legged Wolverine crawl scene:
