The second season of Star Wars: The Mandalorian is only a few weeks away and fans are clamoring to get a first look of what's to come. The trailer for its sophomore season was allegedly set to be released during the NBA playoffs last week, unfortunately, there wasn't any footage revealed. That said, a new rumor might explain this trailer delay and bring exciting news for fans of Ahsoka Tano.
According to Kessel Run Transmissions, Rosario Dawson has reportedly shot footage as Ahsoka for The Mandalorian around two weeks ago. Though the outlet isn't certain, the sequence was said to be filmed for marketing purposes, which is the reason for the delay of the rumored trailer.
The outlet says the scene features Ahsoka in a gray cloak while she fights two bounty hunter assassins. They didn't specifically say where this sequence takes place, but KRT hints that it is a very common location in Star Wars where characters go to "get a beverage." This is likely a reference to the Mos Eisley Cantina, which was already featured in the fifth episode of The Mandalorian.
There were no further details revealed, but the outlet's sources claim the footage that was filmed was "phenomenal."
It's only a matter of time until the trailer for Season 2 arrives, especially with the upcoming Star Wars Celebration where the teaser could potentially drop. It also makes sense for Ahsoka to be in the marketing footage since she is a fan-favorite character. For now, fans would have to wait a little more and based on these rumors, it's going to be worth it.
Star Wars: The Mandalorian Season 2 is set for release on Disney+ this October.
