We already know that Richard E. Grant is currently working on the highly anticipated Loki series that will air on Disney+. But who will the Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker actor play in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe show? A new fan art imagines Grant as the older version of Tom Hiddleston's God of Mischief.
The fan art was created by digital artist apexform and has been shared on Instagram. The illustration gives Grant Loki's trademark helmet and it is a stunning look. Check it out below.
We're loving the idea of Grant playing Old Loki in the new Marvel series. After all, fans have already pointed out that the veteran actor bears a striking resemblance to Hiddleston with the high forehead, cheekbones, and sharp blue eyes. In addition to that, Grant himself had stated that he and the Thor: Ragnarok star had wanted to work together for a long time. However, it is important to point out that Grant's role in Loki has not yet been revealed so it's best to take it with a grain of salt.
If Grant does end up playing Old Loki in the Disney+ show, he won't be the only version of the God of Mischief that is expected to appear in the series. There have been speculations that Loki will feature several different versions of the character including a female Loki. With that in mind, this is one show to truly look forward to in the future.
Loki is currently in production and has not yet been given an official release date. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
