Zack Snyder's Rebel Moon is Coming Out On Netflix
Zack Snyder got his spotlight on Netflix when he released Army of the Dead and its prequel on the streaming platform.
Now, he has a new project coming out on Netflix with the dystopian sci-fi film series titled Rebel Moon. A star-studded cast banners the movie and a powerhouse crew.
Not only that, recently, Zack Snyder spoke with The Nerd Queens podcast where he revealed that Rebel Moon will not only have a movie, there will also be a graphic novel, an animated short, and a role-playing game! Snyder revealed:
Rebel Moon is part of Netflix's Save the Date video as they announce the titles coming out on the streaming platform which means that Zack Snyder's work will be arriving this year!

Rebel Moon Release Date: When Will Zack Snyder's Space Epic Come Out?
As mentioned, Netflix released a save-the-date video for the titles that are arriving on the streaming platform this year and that includes Rebel Moon which will be coming out on December 22, 2023, and this would be going toe-to-toe with Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, from the studio where Snyder worked before.
The Rebel Moon movie would be split into two parts: Rebel Moon - Part One: A Child of Fire and Part Two: The Scargiver.
While Part One: A Child of Fire premieres on December 22, Part Two: The Scargiver is currently slated for release on April 19, 2024.
Rebel Moon Cast: Who are the Actors Included in Zack Snyder's Netflix Movie?
An ensemble cast banners Rebel Moon with Sofia Boutella as Kora, the main character of the movie. Boutella will be joined by the lead actor Charlie Hunnam as Kai, her love interest in the film.

Rebel Moon Crew: Who are the Creative Minds Behind the Scenes?
Zack Snyder will direct, write, produce, and do the cinematography of Rebel Moon. He is joined by Shay Hatten and Kurt Johnstad as scribes of the movie.
Hatten revealed on Collider, "Rebel Moon is... I mean, it's in the can. It's in post-production right now. Zack [Snyder] is editing away, and I've seen bits and pieces of it. I've seen scenes here and there and a cut of the trailer."
Hatten added, "I tell him this all the time, but 300 was one of the first R-rated movies that I convinced my parents to take me to see in theaters, which I think he hates me saying because it makes me seem super young."
Other producers include Deborah Snyder, Wesley Coller, and Eric Newman. The editor of Rebel Moon is Dodo Dorn, and the music will be produced by Tom Holkenborg.
Netflix will be distributing Rebel Moon with plans of a limited theatrical release and it is expected to have a back-to-back movie with Rebel Moon Part 2.

The synopsis of Rebel Moon puts the character of Sofia Boutella, Kora, in the center of it all as she will be the main heroine of the movie where she will be seeing out to the nearest planets to gather warriors as they make a stand against the tyrant, Balisarius.
Balisarius is the anticipated villain. He's a big man with huge ambitions and he will do it together with his army.

There will also be Rebel Moon Part 2 which will continue the narrative so expect the ending to be open-ended. Interestingly enough, Rebel Moon is said to be Zack Snyder's rendition of one of his favorite franchises of all time, Star Wars.
There are a lot of similarities, to be fair, like being set in the galaxy, having a heroine that would save everyone and a villain that seeks power. The list could go on!
Speaking with Variety, the VP of Original Studio Film of Netflix, Ori Marmur revealed that Rebel Moon is Zack Snyder's own version of Star Wars:
