After a period of uncertainty, The Real Housewives of New York City Season 16 is finally happening, with three new faces joining the cast and one former Housewife returning.

The reality series was put on hold after Season 15 wrapped in February due to a fractured cast, low ratings, and negative fan reviews.

Now that Bravo has officially announced the new season’s cast and confirmed that production has begun, here’s everything you need to know about RHONY Season 16.

Who is the Cast of Real Housewives of New York City Season 16?

Bravo has officially revealed the cast of RHONY Season 16, featuring a mix of returning and new faces.

Sai De Silva, Erin Lichy, and Jessel Taank are set to return to the Big Apple for the new season, alongside fan-favorite former Housewife Carole Radziwill, who is making her dramatic comeback as a “friend” eight years after exiting the show in Season 10.

“In the marathon of life, loyalty is everything. And because of Bravo fans’ loyalty, Carole Radziwill is returning to #RHONY as a friend-of for Season 16!!!” Bravo wrote in an Instagram post.

As for the newcomers, Hailey Glassman, a public relations professional known for her past relationship with Jon & Kate Plus 8 alum Jon Gosselin, joins the show.

Erika Hammond, a former WWE Diva and co-founder of Rumble Boxing, will also appear, together with celebrity makeup artist Daisy Toye.

While several Housewives have remained mum about their involvement in RHONY Season 16, Jenna Lyons has officially announced her exit from the show.

In an Instagram post, the fashion designer confirmed she was asked to return for the new season but declined.

“I was grateful to be asked to join Season 16 of RHONY ‘as a friend of.’ Knowing my personal life was not really available to be filmed, we agreed that made sense,” she wrote. “And after thinking it through, I have made the difficult decision not to return to the show.”

Brynn Whitfield will also not be returning after being accused of trying to “produce” the series by creating storylines for drama.

“After a lot of thought, I’ve made the decision to walk away from reality TV. For now,” she wrote in a separate Instagram post. “It was the honor of a lifetime to help reboot such an iconic franchise.”
