Rebecca Minkoff announced recently that she has exited from The Real Housewives of New York City after a one-season stint.

The famed fashion designer notably joined season 15 of the hit Bravo reality series as the "friend of the housewives." While she did not serve as a full-time cast member, her appearance still stirred some drama as her co-stars questioned her Scientology beliefs.

In her recent post on Instagram, Minkoff confirmed that she is departing The Real Housewives of New York City after her recurring stint in season 15.

She explained that she wanted to start a new chapter and focus again on her business and philanthropy work.

"2025 is a new beginning for me and with current events in the world, I am reminded the importance of family, friends and community now more than ever," she said in her statement.

"The last month has given me a new perspective on wanting to focus on my wildly amazing 4 kids, my supportive husband, my business of 20 years, the Female Founder Collective, my podcast and MY BOOK."

Minkoff continued, "As much as I have learned along the way with this franchise and fans, I want to reprioritize the things that mean the most to me: designing, giving back, supporting women and raising my family. I am truly grateful for the experience, the friendships and the fans that have been part of this RHONY chapter. Time to turn the page."

Rebecca Minkoff Reflects on Her Time in The Real Housewives of New York City Season 15

In an interview that took place before the reunion special, Minkoff reflected on her time in The Real Housewives of New York City season 15 and addressed why she didn't bring up her Scientology beliefs.

"It was never brought up in a manner that was respectful," she explained. "It was always done with, as Brynn [Whitfield] says, ‘I like to play horrible games. I like to stir the pot."

While her time in the season wasn't easy, Minkoff admitted that her involvement in the series was helpful to her brand and she managed to have a learning experience out of it.

"I went in with rose-colored glasses. It’s a tough show. It can be very tough personally. You’re dealing with relationship," she said.

"I never regret anything. I’m done with regrets. I learned so much and it was incredible for business. I made some good friends out of it."
