Queen Camilla and Princess Anne had a history of frostiness. According to a previous report, King Charles' sister didn't want his wife to be her Queen.
Princess Anne Told Queen Camilla She Will Never See Her As Queen?
Many believed that years before King Charles ascended the throne, he had always wanted to make his wife the new Queen. However, due to her previous marriage, the firm announced after they tied the knot that Camilla would only be known as "Princess Consort" when he took over the crown.
That changed when Queen Elizabeth announced last year that Camilla would be Queen during King Charles' reign. However, prior to that, Princess Anne allegedly told Camilla that in her eyes, she would never be a queen, New Idea reported.
"Rumours that Charles may walk back on his promise that Camilla would not be queen has riled Anne to no end, and she's told both Charles and Camilla as much," an insider said.
"Anne has made it plain that Camilla will never be a true queen in the eyes of the British subjects. Anne wields a lot of power and has a lot of respect in that family, so you will find that the Wessexes, and maybe even the Cambridges, will back her on this. Charles and Camilla will face a lot of pushback."
The outlet noted that the frostiness started half a century ago when the Princess Royal dated Camilla's former flame Andrew Parker Bowles, while Camilla was dating Princess Anne's royal brother.

How's Queen Camilla And Princess Anne's Current Relationship?
Over the years, things have changed between the two women. Body language expert Judi James acknowledged the frostiness between the two in the past.
"Earlier photos do suggest a potential for frostiness between Anne and Camilla with both women apparently able to stand together while ignoring one another," James told Express.
"Anne is seen holding an umbrella over herself rather than offering cover to Camilla and even, apparently, holding the brolly close enough for drips to land on Camilla’s hat."

However, the expert also noticed that things have been more friendly between King Charles' wife and sister. In fact, their frostiness was gone, and they had developed a "strong rapport."
She added that Camilla's non-verbal signs in public showed that she has no anxiety around Princess Anne. In fact, she looked relaxed and animated with her royal sister-in-law.
"Their mutual laughter goes beyond what would be expected if there were some animosity or frostiness now. If they were putting on a show for the cameras a few moments of polite conversation would have been all that would have been necessary but their body language rituals together involve eye contact and some very empathetic-looking touch, with Camilla even holding Anne’s wrist as though keen to encourage her to stay and chat longer."
Based on their interaction in public, James said Queen Camilla and Princess Anne want to spend more time together instead of just performing their cursory greeting rituals.
"These two women share a love of horses and, famously, a taste in men, with the result being that they appear to have become quite close friends over the years, sending out body language signals of a rather mature and affectionate relationship when they appear together in public."
