Princess Anne Joins Students And Plants A Tree To Celebrate Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee
Queen Elizabeth II is celebrating her 70th anniversary as monarch this year. Her Majesty established the Queen's Green Canopy initiative to leave a lasting legacy by encouraging individuals and organizations to "plant a tree for the jubilee."
Princess Anne visited Watchfield Primary School and even joined the pupil-led eco-council to plant a tree to support the monarch's initiative. The tree planting season ends this month, so it's currently at the prime period for establishing new trees, Good Housekeeping reported.
Princess Anne was photographed standing with a huge smile on her face next to a freshly planted tree with a spade in hand. Three pupils and a staff member also posed alongside her in the picture.
The Royal Family's official Instagram account shared Princess Anne's adorable photo.
"The Princess Royal joins Watchfield Primary School’s eco-council to dedicate a tree to the @queensgreencanopy, which is just one of the ways you can celebrate The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee," the caption read.
